Ed Butowsky, the man who offered to assist the family of Seth Rich with the cost of hiring a private investigator, has told the Gateway Pundit that during a December 2016 conversation with the father of the slain staffer he confirmed that he “knew what his sons did.”
Butowsky further stated that the family was deeply concerned with their son being remembered for helping to get President Donald Trump elected.
Speaking to Butowsky by phone on Thursday evening, he told the Gateway Pundit that during a conversation with Joel Rich on December 17, 2016 at 3:17 p.m., the father stated “we know what our sons did, but we just want to find Seth’s killer.”
“They know — we all know,” Butowksy said.
In an audio recording that I previously obtained, private investigator Rod Wheeler explained that Seth’s brother, Aaron Rich, had tried to block Wheeler from looking at Seth’s computer — even though there could be evidence on it.
Wheeler said that Seth’s girlfriend told him that Aaron Rich had possession of Seth’s cell phones, but Aaron denied it and said “we’re not going to worry about the cell phones.”
Aaron also blocked Wheeler from finding out about who was at a party Seth attended the night of the murder.
“All I want you to do is work on the botched robbery theory and that’s it,” Aaron told Wheeler, according to Wheeler’s claim on the audio. Wheeler said that Seth’s father Joel “does not appear to have any hidden agenda.”
“He said no, he said I have his computer, meaning him,” Wheeler said. “I said, well can I look at it?…He said, what are you looking for? I said anything that could indicate if Seth was having problems with someone. He said no, I already checked it. Don’t worry about it.”
Aaron Rich works for Northrup Grumman, which was named as the fifth-largest defense contractor in the world in 2015, as a lead software developer.
“It’s not just hacking and defending, there’s a lot more to it,” a cyber software engineer at Northrup Grumman says in a video on the company’s website.
A leaked phone conversation I previously obtained also featured award winning journalist Sy Hersh confirming that Rich had made contact with WikiLeaks.
“There are no DNC or Podesta emails that exist beyond May 21 or 22, last email from either one of those groups. What the report says is that some time in late Spring… he makes contact with WikiLeaks, that’s in his computer,” he says. “Anyway, they found what he had done is that he had submitted a series of documents — of emails, of juicy emails, from the DNC.”
“All I know is that he offered a sample, an extensive sample, I’m sure dozens of emails, and said ‘I want money.’ Later, WikiLeaks did get the password, he had a DropBox, a protected DropBox,” he said. They got access to the DropBox.”
Hersh also states that Rich had concerns about something happening to him, and had shared the DropBox with trusted associates incase anything happened to him.
“The word was passed, according to the NSA report, he also shared this DropBox with a couple of friends, so that ‘if anything happens to me it’s not going to solve your problems,’” he added. “WikiLeaks got access before he was killed.”
— WikiLeaks (@wikileaks) August 1, 2017
In an email exchange that had been previously provided to me exclusively, Butowsky pleaded with Hersh to go to Congress with what he knew.
“I am curious why you haven’t approached the house committee telling them what you were read by your FBI friend related to Seth Rich that you in turn read to me. Based on all your work, it appears that you care about the truth. Even though, as you said you couldn’t get a second, shouldn’t you tell them so they could use their powers to determine the truth?” Butowsky asked.
In a bizarre response completely contradicting what Hersh is heard saying on the audio recording, he denies having any inside knowledge of the case.
“ed –you have a lousy memory…i was not read anything by my fbi friend..i have no firsthand information and i really wish you would stop telling others information that you think i have…please stop relaying information that you do not have right…and that i have no reason to believe is accurate…” Hersh wrote.
Desperate to find the truth about what happened, Bukowsky continues to plead with the journalist to go forward.
“I know it isn’t first hand knowledge but you clearly said, my memory is perfect, that you had a friend at the FBI who read / told you what was in the file on Seth Rich and I wonder why you aren’t helping your country and sharing that information on who it was?” Bukowsky responds.
Interestingly, a new report published on Thursday evening by the Washington Times also confirms that Rich had downloaded thousands of DNC emails.
“Another aspect that needs to be uncovered is the FBI’s ‘denial’ that its cyber experts who share space with the D.C. Metro police department at Cleveland Avenue in the District, assisted in accessing data on Mr. Rich’s laptop. Not likely. Data on the laptop revealed that Mr. Rich downloaded thousands of DNC emails and was in touch with Wikileaks. The file with evidence of what was on Mr. Rich’s laptop sits with the FBI in a co-shared space with the D.C. police department. According to Ed Butowsky, an acquaintance of the family, in his discussions with Joel and Mary Rich, they confirmed that their son transmitted the DNC emails to Wikileaks,” the Washinton Times reported.
Rich was shot in the back in the early morning hours of July 10, 2016, near his home while he was on the phone with his girlfriend — 12 days before the publication of the DNC emails by WikiLeaks. The police initially ruled that it was a botched robbery — but his wallet, watch, and necklace were still on his person when he was discovered by police.
The report from the Washington Times points out that “the same day Seth Rich was murdered, an FBI agent’s car was burglarized in the same vicinity. Included in the FBI equipment stolen was a 40 caliber Glock 22. D.C. Metro police issued a press release, declaring that the theft of the FBI agent’s car occurred between 5 and 7 a.m. Two weeks later, the FBI changed the time of the theft to between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. Was the FBI gun used to shoot Seth Rich? Neither the FBI nor the Metro police will discuss.”
Last July, Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) — a 30 member group made up of well respected former experts from the National Security Administration, tech companies and other intelligence agencies put out a report asserting that the DNC emails came from a leak, not a hack.
VIPS stated that “forensic studies of ‘Russian hacking’ into Democratic National Committee computers last year reveal that on July 5, 2016, data was leaked (not hacked) by a person with physical access to DNC computer. After examining metadata from the “Guccifer 2.0” July 5, 2016 intrusion into the DNC server, independent cyber investigators have concluded that an insider copied DNC data onto an external storage device.”
Additionally, the former intelligence operatives detail how the FBI neglected to perform any independent forensics on the original “Guccifer 2.0,” and assert that “the reason the U.S. government lacks conclusive evidence of a transfer of a ‘Russian hack’ to WikiLeaks is because there was no such transfer.”
Among those who signed on to the report is William Binney, former NSA Technical Director for World Geopolitical & Military Analysis; Co-founder of NSA’s Signals Intelligence Automation Research Center, Larry C Johnson, who is retired from the CIA & State Department, Kirk Wiebe, former Senior Analyst at SIGINT Automation Research Center of the NSA, and many more.
Though Assange has infamously expressed interest in Rich, he has always maintained that WikiLeaks will never name a source. WikiLeaks has offered a $20,000 reward for Rich’s murderer however, and has retweeted articles that asserted he was their source without providing any additional comment.

GOP Sen Kennedy on Trump Due Process Comment: ‘If You Trust Government, You Obviously Failed History’
On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.,” Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) reacted to President Trump’s comments on due process and gun violence restraining orders by stating, “if you trust government, you obviously failed history class.” Kennedy said, “I’m petrified of giving the power to confiscate guns and ask questions later to public officials. I don’t mean to pick on him, I respect him, but, for example, [former Attorney] General Holder. He would have used that power. And, look, if you trust history — or if you trust government, you obviously failed history class. I mean, the Native Americans gave up their guns too.” He also commented on countries with heavy restrictions on guns like the UK, and stated, “[I]f you think it’s such a good thing, carry your happy ass there.” Follow Ian Hanchett on Twitter @IanHanchett
While students and the liberal media rush to blame the National Rifle Association for the tragic school shooting in Parkland, President Barack Obama’s PROMISE program may have actually helped to keep Nikolas Cruz from failing a background check that would have stopped him from purchasing guns.
Last week, Rush Limbaugh discussed the program and how it may have contributed to this senseless massacre.
In an effort to close the racial achievement gap in Florida’s Broward County Public Schools, Robert Runcie was brought in to serve as superintendent in 2013.
While attempting to figure out why black students had a graduation rate of only 61 percent compared to 81 percent for white students, Runcie determined that it was largely because of their arrest rates.
“One of the first things I saw was a huge differential in minority students, black male students in particular, in terms of suspensions and arrests,” Runcie told American Prospect magazine in 2013. The magazine noted that “black students made up two-thirds of all suspensions during the 2011-2012 school year despite comprising only 40 percent of the student body.”
Instead of concluding that perhaps there is more crime within certain groups, Runcie deduced that it must be racial bias leading to the arrests.
“It doesn’t prove anything of the sort. It proves who’s committing the crimes. And if you don’t like that, if you’re Obama and Holder and you don’t like that, then you want to change that, the only way you can do it is by ignoring some of the crime, not charging, not arresting, and not imprisoning, to change the percentages,” Limbaugh pointed out.
To combat this perceived injustice, Broward announced broad changes designed to mitigate the use of harsh punishments for minor misbehavior. The county, working with a member of the local NAACP, amended discipline codes, prohibited arrests in many circumstances and developed alternatives to suspension. Soon, arrests of students dropped 66%.
The payoff was big, as President Obama’s program rewarded local governments with grants if they kept school arrests down.
Here’s the problem, without the arrests — there is no record that will show up in a background check to keep violent young adults from purchasing firearms.
“Something like, what is it, 18 states don’t even report data to the background check system? So what good is it, if the data isn’t even there? If there were perps that are not being arrested, that are not being charged, they will not show up in a background check when they go to buy a gun. And there is or was an Obama administration policy to change this prison ratio under the guise that it was built by bias and racism,” Limbaugh lamented. “No matter what steps you put into place to prevent these kind of people from getting guns, if the procedure is corrupted, it’s not gonna be worth anything.”
During a recent interview with Jake Tapper, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel was asked about the Obama-era program.
“A lot of people in the community have noted that the Broward County School Board entered into an agreement when you were sheriff in 2013, to pursue the least punitive means of discipline against students,” Tapper began. “And this new policy encouraged warnings, consultations with parents, programs on conflict resolution instead of arresting students for crimes. Weren’t there incidents committed by the shooter as a student that if this new policy hadn’t been in place, he would have been arrested for and then not able to legally the buy a gun?”
Sheriff Israel responded by defending the program.
“What you’re referring to is the PROMISE Program, and it’s giving the school… The school has the ability under certain circumstances not to call the police, not to get the police involved on misdemeanor offenses and take care of it within the school. It’s an excellent program. It’s helping many, many people. What this program does is not put a person at 14, 15, 16 years old into the criminal justice system, so they can —” Israel ranted.
“What if he should be in the criminal justice system?” Tapper interjected. “What if he does something violent to a student? What if he takes bullets to school?”
“That… Then…” Israel muttered.
“What if he takes knives to school? What if he threatens the lives of fellow students?” Tapper persisted.
“Then he… Then he goes to jail.” Israel responded.
“That’s not what happened!” Tapper asserted.
Finally, Israel responded, “that’s not possible in the PROMISE Program.”

Gregg Jarrett: Jeff Sessions Is Not the Attorney General – Sessions Is Kept in the Dark, Out of Major Decisions (VIDEO)
FOX News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett told the Hannity audience what we already knew.
Jeff Sessions is not the Attorney General – He’s kept in the dark at the Department of Justice.
This was one of the most honest assessments of the AWOL AG this year.
Gregg Jarrett: Jeff Sessions has been utterly feckless in his responses.
Jason Chaffetz: Look you have an Attorney General who’s recused himself out of the very job. I’ve been saying for a few months, I’m sorry, Jeff Sessions is a good honorable person but he’s not up to the job. He doesn’t have the guts to get what needs to be done. He’s recused himself out of everything. You don’t need a special counsel if you have an Attorney General who can actually move the ball forward.
Gregg Jarrett: Jeff Sessions is not the Attorney General. He’s the AG in name only. It is being run by other people. Largely Rod Rosenstein. Sessions is kept in the dark, out of major decisions. He doesn’t have a clue what’s going on there.
The American government can scream, bluster, and twitch like a Tourette’s patient off his medication, but at this point they’re just a paper tiger when the big boys are involved.
Take Russia as an example – for years we’ve seen the United States torture the Eastern Bear with everything from sanctions to implied threats of all out war over Jewish Nazis in Ukraine and bots on Twitter.
But all the while, Vladimir Putin sat back quietly and let his people (no Affirmative Action at work in Mother Russia) prepare a suitable response.
It took some time, but I think now we’re ready for the ultimate rebuttal to end all rebuttals.
Russia has developed a number of advanced weapons systems, including a nuclear-powered cruise missile, which make all US capabilities aimed at undermining the Russian nuclear deterrent obsolete, President Vladimir Putin announced.
The latest advances in Russian strategic deterrence have made America’s anti-missile systems obsolete, so Washington should stop trying to diminish Russia’s security and start talking to Moscow as an equal partner, not the dominant military power it seeks to be, Putin said.
The Russian leader made the comments during his state of the nation address on Wednesday. While the first part of the address was a straightforward description of domestic goals and achievements, the second became a defiant challenge to the US. Putin announced that Russia has successfully developed several new weapons systems, which basically negate American anti-ballistic missile capabilities.
The Russian president accused the US of arrogance, saying that it thought that Russia would not be able to recover anytime soon after the collapse of the Soviet Union and that its interests can simply be ignored. One particular move – the withdrawal by George W Bush from the Anti-ballistic Missile Treaty (ABM) in 2002 – resulted in Russia being increasingly surrounded by American assets, which undermined the country’s nuclear deterrence.
“In the end, if we did nothing, this would render the Russian nuclear potential worthless,” Putin said. “They could simply intercept all of it.”
…Russia has now done this, according to Putin, who went on to present a number of new systems, some of which don’t yet have names, and which are all meant to counter current and future ABM systems. His speech was accompanied by a series of video clips showing those new systems, partially as footage of tests and partially as computer-generated images showing their capabilities.
One system is the new Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) called Sarmat, or RS-28. It’s already well-known, but Putin stressed that its increased range allows the missile to reach US territory from Russia via a South Pole route. The US has dozens of interceptor missiles deployed in Alaska on the presumption that Russia’s ICBMs would approach from that direction, which would not be the case with Sarmat.
Czar Vlad even went on to troll ZOG with a video showing his awe-inspiring new weaponry slamming into a chunk of Western Florida.
The Pentagon immediately went into a routine pushing the idea that the missile was only in a developmental stage, but failed to generate any sort of believable enthusiasm, if you want my honest opinion.
Putin then went on to weapons systems that were not previously known to the public. One is a yet-to-be-named cruise missile with an almost unlimited range.
This is achieved thanks to a highly-efficient on-board miniaturized nuclear reactor, which powers the flight. Such a missile can fly low enough to avoid early detection, can change course to avoid enemy anti-missile assets along its path, and maneuver to pierce the anti-missile systems protecting its target.
One has to assume that this device has a bunker-busting ability that would turn this rotting country’s best shelters into radioactive glass tombs.
Putin also said that miniaturization of a nuclear reactor gave Russia another advanced weapons system in the form of a high-endurance underwater drone. The drone can dive “really very deep” and travel between continents at a speed that is several times higher than that of a submarine, a modern torpedo or even a surface ship, he said.
Note that this isn’t 1942 or 1943, and the loss of a carrier battlegroup would likely take decades to replace – my guess is that Israel wouldn’t be willing to accept cuts in gibs no matter how dire the situation.
Putin then showcased two variants of a hypersonic weapons systems already developed by Russia. One is an air-launched vehicle that is already deployed in southern Russia for test combat duty. The projectile travels at a speed of Mach-10 and has a range of 2,000km (1,240 miles). The weapon, which is called Kinzhal (“dagger” in Russian) is available in conventional and nuclear forms, Putin said. A video shown to the audience included the moment the weapon was deployed by a fighter jet and the fire from its engine.
Another weapon that is being developed, but which was not shown being tested because its appearance is classified, according to Putin, is a hypersonic glider warhead deployed from space. Russia first tested one back in 2004 and has made significant progress since, the president said. The glider can fly in the atmosphere at speeds of over Mach-20 and can withstand a heat of up to 2,000C (3,632F) generated by air fiction. The system is in series production and is called Avangard (“advance guard” in Russian).
But, but, but…
The dignified American Woman of Color working for our war-mongering elite tried to tell me that our country still enjoys total military superiority in all branches of service.
She never told me that Russia could now literally subject this country to bombardment from low earth orbit.
The last weapon system showcased by Putin during his speech was a combat laser, which he said Russia had started to deploy last year. A small video clip showed what presumably is an anti-aircraft laser system, but no test footage was shown.
“To those who for the last 15 years have been trying to fan an arms race, achieve unilateral advantage against Russia, impose sanctions, which are illegal from the standpoint of international law and are aimed at holding back the development of our country, including in the military area, I have this to say: All the things you were trying to prevent through your policies have already happened. You have failed to hold Russia back,” Putin said.
“You now have to acknowledge this reality, confirm that everything I said is no bluff – which it isn’t – think for some time, send into retirement the people stuck in the past and incapable of looking into the future, [and] stop rocking the boat that we all ride in and which is called planet Earth,” he said. Russia would be responsive if talked to as an equal partner, Putin added.
Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson said President Donald Trump was betraying core campaign promises on guns when he said on Wednesday to “take the guns first, go through due process second” at a White House meeting with a bipartisan group of lawmakers on gun laws. Partial transcript as follows: The shortcomings of this administration are clear. They are usually worth it though, for two reasons. First, the ideas the president ran on are basically right. America first ought to be the principle of every administration by definition it’s an American administration. America should be first. But that’s not the motto of most administrations. Not even hardly. Second, the alternatives to what we have now are scary and getting scarier. The Democratic Party is completely irresponsible and increasingly anti-American. They prefer illegal aliens to our middle class. It’s true and terrifying. Somebody needs to defend the country from these people. Trump mostly does that. So for these reasons, most of the president’s supporters have stuck by him no matter what has happened, and a lot has happened. But there is a limit to the tolerance. They will not tolerate, and they shouldn’t have to tolerate, by
Nunes: FBI may have Violated Criminal Statutes in FISA Application to Spy on Trump Adviser Carter Page
To his credit, Barack Obama refused to do this:
“The State Department has officially approved a possible $47 million sale of Javelin antitank missiles and related equipment to Ukraine, the Pentagon announced Thursday.
The move marks a significant escalation of lethal aid to Ukraine in its ongoing struggles against Russia.
“This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by improving the security of Ukraine,” the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in its official notice. “The Javelin system will help Ukraine build its long-term defense capacity to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity in order to meet its national defense requirements. Ukraine will have no difficulty absorbing this system into its armed forces. …”
Again, I have no idea why the neocons are so upset with Trump. Maybe it is just an act? This is John McCain’s foreign policy.
As a White Man, there are certain things in life you want to avoid doing – your life can depend on such things.
- Never get arrested in a ghetto precinct, and if you do, be ready with bail money before coming within 100 yards of a holding tank.
- Never get involved with hard drugs – especially opiates.
- Never let yourself get out of shape – it only gets harder to bounce back as age takes its toll.
- If you find yourself alone in middle age, don’t go down the Asian (or Eastern Euro for that matter) mail order bride route – you’re going to wind up broke and broken within a few years.
I left one situation out of this list because I thought it was more than obvious – if you’re a politician who got into office on a Nationalist platform, don’t generate meme magic that summons the Happy Merchant from the depths of hell.

A Note On Gun Seizures
This weird occult event was part of a day that saw Trump call for a halt to due process in regards to confiscation of weapons owned by those deemed to be “mentally ill.”
Now, I obviously would not want someone hopped up on psychiatric medicines to be ready and geared up for an IRL Call Of Duty mission (all Jews should be banned from firearm possession because of this), but we need to ask ourselves if we want the American Government in its current form to be the ones to have the ability to deem us unfit for gun ownership.
Seriously think about it – it would be the powers that universally condemned us for the violence in Charlottesville that would determine our status.
Those pesky never-to-be-trusted-and-always-Byzantine-Russians and their evil super-criminal-genius-mastermind, Vladimir Putin, are at it again. You'll never geuess what they're trying to meddle in now:
Chairman Nunes Sends Blistering Letter to AG Sessions: FBI May Have Violated Multiple Criminal Statutes in FISA Application
On Thursday, Chairman Nunes sent a letter to AG Sessions stating the FBI may have violated criminal statutes by using unverified information to obtain a FISA warrant on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page, reports Fox News’ Catherine Herridge.
Catherine Herridge reports:
The FBI may have violated criminal statutes, as well as its own strict internal procedures, by using unverified information during the 2016 election to obtain a surveillance warrant onetime Trump campaign aide Carter Page, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee charged Thursday in a letter obtained by Fox News.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., wrote in his letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions that “in this instance, it’s clear that basic operating guidance was violated.”
Nunes cited the Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide (DIOG), which was created by the bureau and approved by the Justice Department, to say he believed the FBI violated procedures requiring verified and documented evidence in applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
An Oct. 2011 version of the operations guide states that the “accuracy of information contained within FISA applications is of utmost importance… Only documented and verified information may be used to support FBI applications to the court.”
The guidance also states that information in a FISA application must be “thoroughly vetted and confirmed.”
Nunes’ letter to Sessions (the letter was cc’d to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Inspector General Michael Horowitz)
Chairman Nunes listed 5 criminal statutes that were possibly violated:
Nunes listed five criminal statues that were possibly violated, including conspiracy, obstruction of justice, contempt of court. It also cites statues that make it a crime to willfully deprive a person of a right protected by the Constitution and another preventing unauthorized electronic surveillance.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions told reporters this week that IG Horowitz would be investigating the FISA abuses which occurred during the 2016 election.
We need a Special Counsel who can actually prosecute, not another dog and pony show. The President fiercely criticized Sessions this week for referring the FISA abuse investigation to IG Horowitz.
The Department of Justice has until March 8th to respond to Nunes’ letter.

TECH GIANTS LAUNCH MASSIVE PURGE of Top Conservative Sites on Facebook, YouTube — WHERE THE HELL IS THE GOP?
Tech Giants Google and Facebook are currently purging conservative content from Facebook and YouTube — They are hiding conservative stories on Google — They are shadow-banning conservative news on all social media.
In February Facebook launched a new algorithm to ensure that conservative news would not spread on the social media platform. The algorithm change caused President Donald Trump’s engagement on Facebook posts to plummet a whopping 45%.
In contrast, Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) do not appear to have suffered a comparable decline in Facebook engagement.
Top conservative Facebook pages with daily traffic in the millions have seen 75% to 95% drop in traffic.
Young Cons, Western Journalism, SarahPalin.com, Independent Journal Review, Right Wing News, and several others have seen dramatic loss in traffic.
The Gateway Pundit does not rely on Facebook for our traffic numbers. Still, we saw a significant drop in Facebook traffic last month.
This is criminal behavior.
Meanwhile, liberal sites are doing fine.
Google also deleted several top Conservative channels this week.
Conservative YouTube channels were deleted in a Google purge this week.
Google later said they “accidentally” deleted conservative channels.
During the election conservatives fled the corrupt mainstream media and went online to get their news from trusted websites.
Today far left tech giants want conservative sites eliminated.
The left is even targeting the advertising and income of conservative websites.
It’s time to regulate Google and Facebook!
Where the hell is the GOP?

Ben Rhodes, former Deputy National Security Advisor for President Obama, has launched what is being described as a “shadow” National Security Council “to serve as a ready-made foreign policy team, no matter which Democrat is elected,” writes Monica Showalter of the American Thinker.
American Thinker reports:
His latest scheme is launching a “shadow” National Security Council, called “National Security Action,” co-chairing the operation with Jake Sullivan. Showing that he was always the one running things in the Obama White House, despite his creative writing major, his past career as a failed novelist, and his lack of national security experience, he’s herded a whole slew of top Obama-era national security officials, including former national security adviser Susan Rice, former national security adviser Tom Donilon, former United Nations ambassador Samantha Power, and socialist former Defense Department official Rosa Brooks, into his little shadow operation, as if these people somehow had a divine right to control national security and President Trump’s current officials are somehow illegitimate. […]
Shadow cabinets are hardly an American tradition – they are British – but Rhodes, possibly in consultation with a guy like Marxist U.K. Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, probably learned the use of them as a counter-cabinet in the wings in the event of a fall of the existing government, which happens a lot in parliamentary systems. […]
According to the group’s website, the National Security Action is “dedicated to advancing American global leadership and opposing the reckless policies of the Trump administration that endanger our national security and undermine U.S. strength in the world.”
“Building a strong, unified, progressive opposition to the Trump administration’s dangerous policies, which are making the United States less safe and diminishing our standing and influence in the world,” is one of the group‘s core objectives.
As reported by Fox News contributor Sara A. Carter, Rhodes is a “person of interest” in the House Intelligence Committee’s unmasking investigation.
House Intelligence Committee members met with Rhodes in July amid suspicions that former Obama officials were leaking classified information from the Trump administration to the press.
The post PAPER: In New Plot Against Trump, Ben Rhodes Establishing “Shadow” National Security Council appeared first on The Gateway Pundit.
On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) responded to President Trump’s comments on due process and gun violence restraining orders by stating that the president’s approach is putting government first and it’s “not how America works.” Sasse said, “So, here’s what America means: It means that we believe that rights come to us from God via nature, and government exists to secure and protect our rights. Government doesn’t give us rights. And when you say something like, we’ll take the guns first. We’ll grab the guns first and later we’ll have a due process conversation, what that means is government is first, and hopefully you have a bureaucrat that you trust to decide what rights you have. That’s not how America works. So, American citizens have the whole Bill of Rights available to them, and then in the cases of people who are deranged or have committed crimes, then we do due process and we take away certain privileges that they have.” He added, “In the cases of people who have mental health problems, we should obviously do something to make sure that they can’t get access to weapons. But that needs to
Update: This might be a double white pill if it drives Gary Cohn out of the White House.
President Trump deserves a lot of credit for doing this:
“President Donald Trump on Thursday ignited a possible trade war by announcing a decision to impose tariffs of 25 percent on steel imports and 10 percent on aluminum to protect both industries from unfairly traded imports that the Commerce Department has determined pose a threat to national security.
“It’ll be 25 percent for steel. It will be 10 percent for aluminum. It’ll be for a long period of time,” Trump said at a listening session with steel and aluminum industry executives at the White House. “We’ll be signing it next week. And you’ll have protection.”
The announcement, which is likely to be met with outrage and retaliation from countries around the world, followed a fierce debate within the administration about whether to make an announcement Thursday, according to people briefed on the matter. New tariffs on steel and aluminum imports could lead to a tit-for-tat trade fight with China, the European Union and other major world trade powers. …”
FINALLY, we have something of substance to discuss on the trade front.
I applaud the move and it is long overdue but I have the same concerns that I had with the solar panel and washing machine tariffs that were announced in January. Is this a policy that is going to last or is it going to go to the WTO where it will be called back like a touchdown on ESPN?
Great news, but we can’t outsource our trade policy to the WTO. We’ve got to withdraw from the WTO or this will end up like countless federal court decisions.
Note: Swing state voters support the tariffs.
