AP Picks NFL’s Anthem Antics as Top 2017 Sports Story — But Not Empty Seats, Lower TV Ratings

<p>On Christmas Day, perhaps to minimize its exposure, the Associated Press published its top ten sports stories of the year. Readers will not be at all surprised that "NFL players kneeling during the national anthem" as a result of President Donald Trump's "feud with the NFL" was "the runaway winner ... in balloting by AP members and editors." Predictably, the AP didn't mention the lower attendance and lower TV ratings which have resulted from the players' ill-advised protests.</p>

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin to Don Lemon: ‘My Balls Are Bigger Than Your Balls’

In September, “Outkick the Coverage” founder Clay Travis said live on CNN that the First Amendment and boobs had never let him down in life, causing anchor Brooke Baldwin to cut the interview short. Baldwin later tweeted to men that such language “is never okay.” That was… I just… it was one of those thought bubbles "did he actually say that on MY SHOW?!" Note to men — that is never okay. #smh — Brooke Baldwin (@BrookeBCNN) September 15, 2017 Sunday during CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage, Baldwin touted her balls as being bigger than fellow anchor Don Lemon’s. “By the way,” Baldwin said to a drunk Lemon who was tossing beads in New Orleans, “my balls are bigger than your balls.” “Probably,” Lemon responded. Travis caught wind of the exchange on CNN, demanding an apology on behalf of all men from Baldwin for talking about male genitalia on live television. What Does It Mean? WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange Fires Off Cryptic ‘Hash Key’ Tweet

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange fired off a cryptic tweet resembling a hash key before east coasters ring in 2018.

Assange tweeted a set of numbers and letters with a YouTube video of “Paper Planes” by singer M.IA.

The song has the lyric “If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name.”

The singer took to Instagram in May to call Assange the “truth.”

In October, WikiLeaks tweeted a series of alleged ‘hash keys.’

Wikileaks released thousands of John Podesta emails in the month of October.

The WikiLeaks founder made headlines when his Twitter account disappeared over Christmas.

Law & Crime reports:

An odd sequence of events happened this morning, and it all surrounds the twitter account of Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks. First, overnight, his official Twitter account disappeared on all social media platforms. It was reactivated this morning. It is unclear if this is something that Twitter did, or if Assange deleted his account himself. Assange’s twitter account reappeared and then tweeted this:

VIDEO and PHOTOS=> New Year’s Eve Party With President Trump at Mar-a-Lago

President Donald Trump is attending a New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida Sunday night with First Lady Melania, their son Barron, other family members, honored guests and hundreds of members of Trump’s private club. The Mar-a-Lago estate also serves as Trump’s Florida residence and Winter White House.

As he walked the red carpet arrival with Melania and Barron, Trump spoke to reporters about his successful first year as president. He declined to comment when asked about the latest threat of nuclear war by North Korea’s communist dictator Kim Jong Un, saying, “We’ll see. We’ll see.”

Video of the Trump family’s arrival:

Reporters covering the party–and guests–have posted many photos to Twitter. Below is a selection.

The price to attend the party increased from last year.

Alyssa Milano Melts Down=> ‘I’m in a Fetal Position Wearing a Cinderella Tiara After Reading Trump’s Tweets’

Ultra liberal crank Alyssa Milano completely melted down Saturday after reading Trump’s tweets.

The washed up actress said she ended up in a fetal position wearing a Cinderella tiara after reading some of President Trump’s tweets.

Below is a screenshot of Alyssa Milano’s tweet just in case she deletes the post.

Milano tweeted, “Just made the mistake of reading all of ‘s tweets from the last few days. I’m now curled up in the fetal position with an Cinderella tiara on my head. Also, my feet are cold. So very cold.”

FYI, Alyssa Milano is a grown woman and a mother. Let that sink in.

Here are some of Trump’s tweets that sent Alyssa Milano over the edge…

Celebrating the arrests of MS-13 gangs and reducing ISIS to a fraction of what they were under Obama is what sent this liberal lunatic over the edge.

Get help, Alyssa Milano.

NBC Dismisses Trump Support for Iranian Protesters, Touts Propaganda

<p>On Sunday evening, the <em>NBC Nightly News </em>was the only network evening newscast to run a full report on the anti-government demonstrations in Iran. But, on the down side, the report dismissed President Donald Trump's words of support for protesters as not helpful, and did little to counter the authoritarian regime's propaganda.</p>

CNN: Unnamed Countries and Their Populations Say U.S. Has No ‘Moral Leg to Stand on’ in Criticizing Iran

<p>Early Saturday evening Eastern Time, CNN International Senior Correspondent Arwa Damon, opening a CNN-US panel discussion on the anti-government protests in Iran, read the Iranian government's reactions to Donald Trump's Saturday tweets which quoted and replayed related portions of the President's September speech at the United Nations. Damon followed that statement with a stunning example of the gratuitous America-bashing we've become so used to seeing at CNN, as she broadened the topic to "how frustrated other countries are with the United States," claiming that "a lot of nations and their populations" see the U.S. as "not having a moral leg to stand on."</p>

Bill de Blasio’s 2018 Salary Increase Is More Than What Minimum Wage Workers Earn a Year

Axios: Gary Cohn and Steve Mnuchin Are Blocking America First Trade Reform

Isn’t this just perfect?

So, it turns out President Trump is serious about the MAGA trade agenda. He wasn’t kidding about that. He keeps wanting to impose “massive tariffs against entire countries, industries and product categories,” but Steve Mnuchin and Gary Cohn are defending the status quo:

“Gary Cohn and Steven Mnuchin successfully kept President Trump from making any disruptive trade actions during the tax reform fight. Now that tax reform is done — and Trump remains hell-bent on tariffs — they’re making new arguments to try to mellow his hardwired trade-warrior impulses.

Cohn and Mnuchin are now appealing to Trump’s obsession with the record-breaking run of the stock market under his presidency, according to four sources with direct knowledge.

They’re telling him the stock market is at an all-time high, and that new tariffs on whole industries like steel and aluminum would hurt it.

They’re also telling him — and others are joining them in making this argument directly to the president — that he’s just given the middle class a tax cut, and that any tariffs making consumer goods more expensive would undo the pay raise he just gave them.

Why this matters: Sources who’ve spoken with the president say he’s often said he wants to slap massive tariffs against entire countries, industries and product categories. They worry that doing so would roil global markets, start a costly trade war, and harm America’s relationships with allies….”

BTW, it was also Steve Mnuchin who helped save the carried interest loophole.

Wall Street won’t like tariffs on Chinese steel, Dahnald. The middle class won’t like more expensive products at Walmart, Dahnald. You need to keep that carried interest loophole, Dahnald. You need to denounce those Nahtzis who marched in Charlottesville, Dahnald.

I said from the beginning that Gary Cohn was going to be a disaster. At the same time, I said that Peter Navarro and Robert Lighthizer were good picks and would be a good team. A year later, I was right on both counts as Navarro and Lighthizer have lined up against Cohn and Mnuchin. Navarro has been sidelined in the White House and put under Gary Cohn’s NEC.

To whom do we owe the misfortune of Gary Cohn?

“The timing was perfect for Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, to pounce. He approached Cohn, supposedly at the suggestion of mutual friends. “Jared Kushner has always been a little starstruck with Goldman Sachs people,” says a former Goldman partner who knows him well. “He’s always liked that sort of promotional edginess that Goldman Sachs has had, and he’s always liked the reputation that Goldman Sachs has the best people, quote unquote, the smartest, savviest people. The idea, by the way, that Jared was suddenly in a position where he actually had the power to call on and hire and lure a number of people like that to the bench side, if you will, was a very, very intoxicating, enticing, and really kind of exciting thing to him,” the former partner continues. “This was an incredibly sort of convenient and opportune kind of thing that came along for Gary because—whether he was going to Washington or not—Gary was out.”

I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Jared Kushner was probably also behind the Shlomo Rubashkin decision. He is the common thread that runs through all bad decisions. These MAGA people think the Alt-Right dwells too much on the Jews. The opposite is true. There isn’t enough focus on how Jewish power and influence has subverted the Trump White House.

Note: Steve Bannon is right about one thing. January is going to be a do-or-die moment for the Trump White House on DACA, the border wall and trade.

UNREAL=> Crooked Cop Comey Posts Pompous New Year’s Eve Tweet

Crooked cop Comey posted a very pompous New Year’s Eve tweet Sunday evening.

Comey is no longer in power and his Deep State buddies are being purged. Welcome to reality, Comey.

On Sunday, Comey tweeted, “Here’s hoping 2018 brings more ethical leadership, focused on the truth and lasting values. Happy New Year, everybody.”

More ethical leadership would including purging more Deep State Obama holdovers. The most corrupt leaders our country has ever seen happened under Obama. Comey wouldn’t know the first thing about being truthful.

Fired FBI Director James Comey is sweating bullets on the heels of a major shake up at the FBI. Rumors are also flying of another purge of top FBI brass involved in the Clinton email investigation.

It was been a rough week and a half for the FBI and Obama holdovers. Deep State FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is set to retire early next year after a barrage of attacks for his corruption.

McCabe’s retirement announcement comes on the heels of a major shake up at the FBI; Wray just removed Comey “confidant” and suspected leaker James Baker from his top post as general counsel.

Then President Trump blasted Andrew McCabe for his overt corruption and accused him of racing the clock to retire with full benefits with only 90 days to go.

The pressure is mounting for McCabe’s pension to be pulled and rumors are flying that more FBI agents are going to be purged soon.

According to reporter Sharyl Attkisson, the exodus may not be over just yet.

“8 high ranking DOJ/FBI officials have been removed, reassigned or are rumored to be leaving incl. top agents who worked on 2 high-profile probes: Clinton mishandling of classified info, and Trump-Russia collusion investigation,”Attkisson tweeted on Tuesday.

James Comey is in serious legal trouble for his handling of the Clinton email scandal.

Comey’s criminal actions could put him in prison.

In December 2017 Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) told FOX News he was convinced the FBI was trying to stop Donald Trump from being elected.

On Friday the State Department released emails found on Anthony Weiner’s computer.

At least 5 emails contain classified information from Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin.

US Sailors have gone to prison for less than this.

Britain Rings In 2018 Amidst Heightened Security

The United Kingdom has rung in 2018 amidst heightened security in the British capital of London, including reports of elite snipers on the roof tops of buildings in order to thwart attempted terrorist attacks. Heavy steel and concrete barriers greeted New Year’s Eve revellers on Sunday night, bringing to close a year in which Europe experienced over fifty publicised terror attacks or attempted terror attacks, most linked with migration or radical Islam. Eighteen musical tracks played, nine of which were by female artists in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of women getting the vote in the United Kingdom.

“Never Seen Anything Like This”: Unsealed Court Documents Show Prosecutors Tried To “Rig” Bundy Trial

According to newly unsealed court documents, prosecutors leading the Bundy case stemming from the 2014 armed standoff, attempted to ‘rig’ the case.

Daily Caller reports:

The Bundys’ case ended in a mistrial Dec. 20 after Judge Gloria Navarro ruled that prosecutors violated the civil rights of the defendants by withholding evidence supporting the Bundys’ case. Navarro is considering dismissing the case “with prejudice” and blocking prosecutors from retrying the case. Her decision will come Jan. 8, according to The New York Times.

“There were approximately 3,000 pages that were provided to us only after we started trial,” Bundy lawyer Bret D. Whipple told TheNYT. “I personally have never seen anything like this, especially in a case of such importance.”

Those 3,000 pages include the Bundys’ requests for multiple federal assessments that showed the Bundy family was likely not dangerous. Prosecutors called the requests part of a “long list of frivolous and vexatious pleadings,” until a government witness, under cross examination, revealed knowledge of the assessments in court, The Oregonian reports.

As The Gateway Pundit‘s Jim Hoft reported, Oregon protest leader Ammon Bundy and seven others were arrested January 26th, 2016. Protester LaVoy Finicum was killed in the confrontation with the police and FBI.

Ammon Bundy told reporters that his son told him FBI agents murdered Finicum with his hands up.

“LaVoy Finicum was murdered. Cold-blooded murder. They shot him with his hands up.”

In a case widely ignored by the corporate media, the BLM hit rancher Cliven Bundy with a $1 million penalty in a 20 year legal dispute over grazing his cattle on public lands without a permit – land the Bundy family had used for grazing since the 50’s. When Bundy refused to comply out of his belief that the federal government was overstepping their authority, the a fine led to a court order, which led to a now infamous 2014 standoff at the Bundy ranch in which BLM agents used dogs and stun guns against Bundy family members.

In February 2016, Cliven Bundy and his sons Ammon and Ryan were detained in Portland, Oregon after the senior Bundy traveled there in support of a similar dispute over government ownership of a Wildlife Refuge.

Commie Pope Orders “Fruits of War” Cards Printed with Nagasaki Victim on Front

Commie Pope Francis ordered “fruits of war” cards printed with the harrowing image of a boy carrying his dead baby brother on his back.

Pope Francis wants cards be printed and distributed depicting victims of the nuclear bombing of Nagasaki — captioned ‘the fruit of war’.

The harrowing image shows a boy carrying his dead brother on his shoulders while waiting in line at a crematorium.

The atom bomb attacks ended World War II — and saved tens of thousands of lives.
And the end of World War II brought freedom and prosperity to millions of human beings.
What is this pope thinking?

The Japanese army was found guilty of thousands of war crimes during World War II. It is strange that this commie pope would not be concerned with the true evil of the Japanese regime.

But for some reason Francis did not choose this photo:

Japanese soldiers use dead Chinese as bayonet practice. (Wikipedia)

Or the mass graves.

Soochow, China, 1938. A ditch full of the bodies of Chinese civilians killed by Japanese soldiers. (Wikipedia)

Or this photo of the execution of an Aussie war prisoner.

An Australian POW, Sgt. Leonard Siffleet, captured in New Guinea, about to be beheaded by a Japanese officer with a guntō, 1943. (Wikipedia)

The pope instead chose a photo of a Japanese child to show his outrage.

This pope is a very dangerous and warped individual.

The Best of American Renaissance in 2017

It has been a big year for American Renaissance in countless ways. Of the many things that have changed, we are now publishing considerably more articles than ever before. Because of that, we are going to highlight the best essays and reviews of 2017.

First Person Accounts

American Renaissance is perhaps most famous for its accounts of the often horrific realities of diversity and race differences written by people unfortunate enough to have witnessed it all firsthand. This year we published three truly engrossing accounts of this kind:

How a Young Black Man Became a Race Realist,” by Robert Smith

What Integration Means for White Prisoners,” by James R. Long

How I Learned About Blacks,” by William Hendershot

Correct History

Much of the content in best-sellers and textbooks purports to be history, but is a mix of distortions and purposeful omissions. American Renaissance is always happy to correct the record. Three essays on the past really shined this year:

Black Slavery in the Middle East,” by Steven Farron

Argentina: A Mirror of Your Future,” by Gustavo Semeria

Richard Nixon, Race Realist,” by Jared Taylor

Book Reviews

Out of all our reviews, two popular books, whose breakthrough into the mainstream was good in and of itself, demanded comment from an explicitly pro-white perspective:

The Strange Death of Europe by Douglas Murray—reviewed by Jared Taylor

Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance—reviewed by F. Roger Devlin

Good News

Friend and foe alike often comment that American Renaissance is a bit dour, and should be more uplifting. Here is our best “upbeat” writing from 2017:

I Was There,” by Jared Taylor—on the inauguration of President Donald Trump

“Notes from a White Country,” by Jack Krak—serialized in several parts: One, Two, Three, and Four

Boycott by Whites Threatens South African Restaurants,” by Dan Roodt

Original Journalism

2018 will see even more investigations and exposés unique to our website, but 2017 was an excellent start:

Bill Kristol Says ‘Lazy, Spoiled’ White Working Class Should Be Replaced by Immigrants,” by Henry Wolff

Silver Spring: Third-World Melting Pot in Maryland,” by Chris Roberts

Anti-Trump Hate Map,” by Westley Parker

Politics

The majority of political commentary won’t name the elephant in the room undergirding every debate: racial conflict. Here are three of the most incisive instances of American Renaissance cutting to the chase:

It’s About Erasing White People,” by Chris Roberts

What Rep. Steve King’s ‘Racist’ Statements Teach,” by Ilana Mercer

Why Yankees Must Defend Confederate Heritage,” by Henry Olson

Did we miss anything? Is one of our inclusions awful? Let us know in the comments!
